What this notice covers

This notice covers metricdiary.com and messages sent to admin@metricdiary.com. “Metric Diary,” “we,” and “us” refer to the people developing and operating this product. The app is still in development. This website does not create app accounts, connect health or bank accounts, or process uploaded meal images.

Information handled today

When you visit

Vercel hosts and delivers this website. Hosting and security systems may process technical information such as your IP address, requested page, browser or device information, request time, and errors to serve the site, protect it, and troubleshoot problems.

When you explore the product

Edits to journal text, meal details, dates, and other interactive views stay in the current page’s memory. Our website does not send those entries to a server, an AI service, or a connected provider, and does not save them to browser storage. Reloading or leaving the page can reset them.

When you email us

We receive your email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use Google Workspace to handle this correspondence so we can answer questions, investigate concerns, and follow up. Please avoid sending passwords, authentication codes, full financial account details, or sensitive health records by ordinary email.

Cookies and analytics

We have not added advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts to this website. The interactive views do not use cookies or browser storage to save entries. Hosting and security services may use necessary technical mechanisms to deliver the site or prevent abuse. Your browser lets you manage cookies and other site data.

How information is used and shared

Information is used to operate and protect the website and respond to correspondence. Relevant information is handled by service providers, including Vercel for hosting and Google Workspace for email. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, or a security incident.

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Clicking an external provider link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. Retention and location

Interactive entries are not retained by our servers. We keep correspondence while needed to address an inquiry, follow up, or meet legal and security obligations, and review it for deletion when that need ends. Technical-log retention depends on the hosting service and its configuration; this site does not promise an immediate purge of provider logs or backups.

The product is being developed for a U.S. launch. Hosting and email providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate.

Your choices and requests

You can browse without emailing us and reset interactive entries by reloading the page. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have sent us, email admin@metricdiary.com. Describe the request without including unnecessary sensitive details. We may need to confirm your identity and will handle applicable rights and response requirements according to the laws that apply to your request.

This website is intended for a general adult audience, not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and address it.

Before personal-data features launch

We will update the relevant notices before enabling accounts, wearable or calendar imports, bank connections, image processing, or AI analysis of personal records. Those features will need clear explanations of what is collected, why, where it goes, how long it is kept, and how permissions and deletion work.

The security page separates measures used on this website from the controls planned for the app. Future features shown on the website are not currently connected services.
